Lacquerware
The method lives in the artisan's hands. When they stop, nobody has the steps.
सूत्रधार · the thread-holder
Preserving every craft. Empowering every artisan.
A voice-first heritage platform. An artisan speaks, turns the piece once in front of a phone, and approves the record. The craft is kept, credited and taught.
the problem
Traditional crafts are taught by watching. Designs are copied without credit. Young people cannot find the master, and the master cannot find fair buyers. A photograph does not fix any of that.

02 · Goa
Pit firing and wet-clay incising are learned by watching. Fewer young people are watching.
03 · Konkan coast
Husk to fibre to rope to basket. Four skills, almost none of it written down.
04 · Western India
A pattern carved generations ago is copied by machines. The original maker gets no credit.
what it is
In Indian theatre the sutradhar is the one who holds the thread: the narrator who keeps the whole story together. Sutradhaar does that for a craft. It holds the thread from the artisan's hands to the next pair of hands.
The artisan speaks in their own language and turns the piece once. We keep the words, the steps and a 360 view in a secure record.
A secure digital repository, protected against cultural loss.
Every record becomes a lesson. A learner follows the steps, uploads their piece, and gets feedback on what can be seen.
Better artisan skills, through training that fits the gap.
Each record gets a fingerprint and a QR page showing who made it and who approved it. Similar claims are flagged for a person to review.
Fair credit, and a direct way to sell, for the real maker.
how it works
The artisan describes the craft in Marathi, Hindi or Konkani. No typing. The voice becomes text they can read and correct.
“आधी लाकूड भिजवतो…”
They turn the piece once in front of the camera. The phone finds the piece and captures a view that anyone can drag around.
The steps, tools, materials and motifs are laid out. The artisan checks every line and approves it. Nothing goes live without them.
A QR page shows who made it and the record's fingerprint. The same record becomes a lesson, with feedback on a learner's own piece.

hold it in your hand
This is the 360 view every record keeps. Drag it. On a real record these frames come from the artisan's own camera, so the full form is kept, not just one photo.

Every listing is tied to the record the maker spoke and approved. The buyer sees who made it, how, and the 360 view next to the price.
The buyer pays you directly by UPI or on delivery, and the order lands straight on your WhatsApp with their name, number and address.
A small helper adds up materials and hours to a starting price. The maker always sets the final number.
01
Speak, do not type. Keep your words, your name and your design. Sell the piece with its story behind it.
02
Follow a master's own method step by step. Upload your piece and see where to improve, with experts for the parts a computer cannot judge.
03
Scan a piece and meet the maker. Know the village, the technique and the story, then order straight from them.
